Mountains like Manaslu, Himchuli, Ganesh, Kang Guru and Boudha and the various hills and lakes like the Bara protected by the Manaslu Conservation Area falls in the Manaslu region. The Manaslu is the 8th highest mountain in the world and falls in the Mansiri Himalayan range. The Manaslu circuit trek covers all this and is accompanied by views of the exotic mountain ranges like the Manaslu, Himchuli, Ganesh Himal, Kang Guru etc. Exquisite views of various snow capped mountains and glaciers and walks through rocky terrains makes it one of the most dangerous and fatal treks in Nepal.

Soti Khola is the starting point of the trek, which can be reached via Kathmandu by a drive. Further trek from Soti Khola to Maccha Khola accompanied by rocky trails, crossing through rivers and suspension bridges and observing natural waterfalls. Jagat is reached after walking through ups and downs and crossing through Tharo Khola and Budhi Gandaki suspension bridges. Walking through uninhabited gorges via river beds and bamboo forests brings Deng then Namrung village which is an excellent viewpoint for Siring and Ganesh Himal. Trek can be done from here to the village of Prok with its monasteries and gompas accompanied by beautiful sights of the Siringi Himal.
The entire walk through Namrung to Pungyen Gompa via Samagaon is adorned with Buddhist cultures and traditions. The Pungyen Gompa offers great views of different glaciers of the region. The Samdo village offers spectacular views of the pristine Mt. Manaslu including Simrang, Hiunchuli, Ngadi, Larkye and Cheo and comes next in trail. The Larkya la. Bimthang, situated further in the trail rewards trekkers with great views of the Larkya Glacier, Mt. Manaslu, Lamjung Himal, Himlung Himal and Cheo Himal. The trail passes through Tal and finally Syange upon reaching Tirje with occasional views of the Marsyangdi Khola and the Marsyangdi valley along the way. The Manaslu circuit trek can then be ended by driving from Syange back to Kathmandu.
