The Annapurna region is home to the best and yet the most dangerous trekking locations in Nepal which consists of the deepest gorge, the lake with the highest altitude, the amazing hot springs and the most welcoming people in the world. The Annapurna Base Camp Trek is a highly appraised trail which incorporates the exquisite views of all the peaks present in the Annapurna region. Trekkers are awarded with views of Himalayan ranges including the Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Fang, Annapurna, Annapurna 3 and Machhapuchhare enclosed perfectly in a circle.

The beginning of the trek is marked by a flight to Pokhara and then a drive to Nayapool. Though many paths are available this is the most suitable one. The rewarding trek from Nayapool to Gorepani is followed by the ascend up to the famous viewpoint of Poon Hill. Upon reaching Chomrong from Ghorepani, then moving north, trekkers will get to enter the Modi Khola Valley. Further ascend brings the Annapurna Base Camp at a height of 4130m from where the breathtaking views of all the aforementioned mountains can be seen. Nepal has unbelievable paragliding sites  to enjoy the freedom of flying like a bird, and to view the alluring magic of Himalayan range. Pokhara, the lakeside town is the best site for paragliding in the world. Paragliding in Pokhara is full of magnetic scenery on earth such as beautiful lakes, spectacular peaks, and stunning overhead view of the city, monasteries, temples, lakes and jungle. The thrill commences from Sarangkot, the capital site of paragliding in Pokhara. The hill station itself is famous for amazing sunrise and sunset views over the Himalayas. The adventure reaches apex as the gliding commences amid of breathtaking views of Annapurna range, beautiful landscape, and serene view of Phewa Lake.

The return trek can retrace the same path or can include the path including the Jhinu Danda, to soothe the aching muscles in the delightful hot springs. A visit can be done, also to the villages of Ghandruk or Landruk. There are many options available for chosing the path, however proper knowledge of the dos and don’ts of the Annapurna region is absolutely mandatory.

The Annapurna Base Camp trek is one of the few treks which provide the amalgamation of varied landscapes in such a short period of time. The welcoming people, mind boggling landscapes and adventurous ventures will leave trekkers wanting for more. Proper acclimatization however is absolutely necessary for health reasons, to take part on this beautiful experience. There is no doubt however, about the wonderful experience this trek will provide trekkers who chose to embark upon it.
